Bruce M. Schragger is a senior member of Schragger, Schragger & Lavine, LLC. A graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School, Mr. Schragger joined the firm in 1961 after serving as law clerk to the Honorable Arthur S. Lane of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is admitted to the New Jersey and New York State Bars, the United States Tax Court, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Schragger concentrates in business and corporate law, estate planning, elder law, land use, and health care. Mr. Schragger also serves as a mediator in probate and will matters.
Mr. Schragger has held many appointed positions in the State, among them: Mercer County Prosecutor, President of the New Jersey Prosecutors Association, and Attorney for Ewing, West Windsor and Hopewell Townships. He has served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Francis Medical Center, as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee for ten years and on the Editorial Board of The New Jersey Lawyer. He also served as a member and Vice Chairperson of the New Jersey Health Care Administration Board.
Mr. Schragger is an emeritus trustee of the New Jersey Institute of Municipal Attorneys and served as parliamentarian of the New Jersey League of Municipalities for over 25 years.
